Author Guidelines
Please prepare your manuscript according to the requirements below before submitting it through the IJVBS online submission system.
Guidelines
IJVBS is a multidisciplinary journal and considers scientifically sound manuscripts across veterinary medicine, animal sciences, biomedical sciences, biological and life sciences, plant sciences, botany and related interdisciplinary fields.
- Veterinary & animal sciences — animal health, clinical science, pathology, surgery, pharmacology, reproduction, nutrition, breeding, production and preventive medicine.
- Biomedical sciences — physiology, biochemistry, immunology, pathology, pharmacology, toxicology, biomarkers, laboratory and translational biomedical research.
- Plant sciences & botany — plant biology, physiology, pathology, genetics, biotechnology, taxonomy, systematics, morphology, floristics, biodiversity, ethnobotany and ecology.
- Biological & molecular sciences — microbiology, parasitology, cell and molecular biology, genetics, genomics, biotechnology, bioinformatics and related life sciences.
- Public health, One Health & environment — zoonoses, epidemiology, food safety, environmental biology and interdisciplinary animal-human-plant-environment research.
Accepted manuscript types
- Original research — full-length reports of original experimental, laboratory, clinical, field or observational studies.
- Review articles — critical syntheses of published work within the journal's scope.
- Short communications — concise reports of limited but significant findings.
- Case reports — documented clinical or diagnostic cases of scientific interest where appropriate to the discipline.
Submission Checklist
- Manuscript prepared in MS Word, 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman 12 pt
- Title page with all authors, affiliations and corresponding author email
- Abstract of no more than 250 words with 4–6 keywords
- References formatted in Vancouver style and numbered in order of citation
- Tables and figures placed at the end, numbered and captioned
- SI units and standard scientific nomenclature used throughout
- Ethical approval statement included where applicable to the study design
- Animal-welfare and informed-owner-consent statements included only where applicable
- Competing interests, funding and data availability statements included
- Manuscript file ready for upload through the online submission portal
