Submit a Manuscript
Use the online three-step submission form. Email submission remains available as a fallback.
Online submission is the simplest option. Only essential article details, author details, the main manuscript and three confirmations are required initially. Additional metadata can be completed later in the editorial or publication stage.
Submission process
Enter the essentials
Add the title, article type, abstract and keywords. Extra publication metadata can be completed later if needed.
Add authors and manuscript
Provide author names and emails, select the corresponding author, and upload the main manuscript file.
Confirm and submit
Answer the ethics question, confirm the three publication declarations, and submit the manuscript.
Pre-submission checklist
- The work is original and is not under consideration by another journal
- All named authors have approved the submitted version
- The main manuscript includes the study details, references and any required statements
- Ethical approval information is available where the study required it
- One author can be identified as the corresponding author

- Ethical approval details, where applicable
- Separate figures or supporting files only if the editorial office later requests them
After acceptance
