Studies involving animals must have been conducted in accordance with applicable national regulations and institutional guidelines for the care and use of animals.
Requirements for submission
- State the name of the approving ethics or animal care committee and the approval reference in the manuscript.
- Describe the species, number of animals, housing and husbandry conditions.
- Describe anaesthesia, analgesia and humane endpoints where applicable.
- For studies on client-owned animals, confirm that informed owner consent was obtained.
Manuscripts that do not provide adequate evidence of ethical approval are not considered for publication.
