Authorship should be limited to those who have made a substantial contribution to the conception, design, execution or interpretation of the reported study.
Requirements
- All authors must have contributed substantially to the work and must approve the final version submitted.
- Contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be recognised in the acknowledgements.
- The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal on behalf of all co-authors.
- Any request to add, remove or reorder authors after submission must be signed by all authors and accompanied by a written explanation.
