Authors who wish to appeal an editorial decision should write to the editorial office setting out, point by point, the grounds for the appeal and their response to the reviewers' comments.
Appeals are considered by the Editor-in-Chief, who may seek further independent advice. The decision reached at that stage is final. Complaints about the conduct of the journal or its editorial processes are acknowledged and investigated by the editorial office.
